Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens @ Summerstage
On Sept. 27-28 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. will be TAKEOVER at BAM. A night filled with music, movies, DJs, and games, last year’s event featured Be Your Own Pet, Dirty on Purpose, and Antibalas. This year’s musical portion is being curated by none other than Sufjan Stevens. Nothing says he will actually be there, but he has chosen the Budos Band, Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus (performing the music of Nico Muhly and others), and St. Vincent to play. DJs King Britt and Vikter Duplaix will be spinning and there will also be various movies and games to play. Get tickets here.
