Big Apple Music Scene

Band of Horses, Mute Math and Spoon rockin’ Late Night.

by User ImageMike on October 15th, 2007

Not the strongest week on late night TV….

Monday…Letterman kicks off the week tonight with 50 Cent doing 50 Cent stuff…

Wednesday…LeAnn Rimes belts out some country like stuff.

Thursday is our ray of hope.  South Carolina’s back woods easy listening rock band Band of Horses rounds up Letterman’s music week.  This will be a cool performance from a cool band - who wrote a song named after Detlef Schrempf.

Conan’s Music Director (Max Weinburg) blows Letterman’s Late Show out of the water this week…

Monday features Big Apple Music Scene favorite Fionn Regan.

Tuesday is followed up with Electro Punk mission Ghostland Observatory.  Who are they?  Here’s their description, “Ghostland Observatory is not a band, but an agreement between two friends to create something that not only heals their beat-driven hearts, but pleases their rock ‘n roll souls.”  Check them out.

Wednesday is huge….Mute Math.  Full profile on Mute Math tomorrow as they’ll be playing Irving Plaza Thursday night.

Thursday…Spoon.  What?  This has turned out to be a killer week…if you nap during Letterman that is.   Spoon will be rockin’ the Roseland Ballroom on Friday night.  That will be one of the top gigs of the week.
