Bob Dylan Coming to Brooklyn

That’s right. Recent Pulitzer Prize winner Bob Dylan will be playing at the Prospect Park Band Shell on August 12th!!! Tickets are on presale RIGHT NOW. The password is TILDEN (thanks brooklynvegan). They go on regular sale on June 13 at noon.

Incidentally, in other Bob Dylan-related news, the Chelsea Hotel, which was and is home to many artists, may be turned into apartments. Authors like Dylan Thomas (who Bob Dylan named himself after) and Mark Twain stayed there, as did Andy Warhol and of course Bob Dylan, who spent several days writing love songs there in the sixties. The building was recently taken over by BD Hotels, but they were fired this month and now the building’s future is up in the air. At Cannes Film Festival last week, a “docu-movie” chronicling the hotel called Chelsea on the Rocks was shown. To read more on the hotel and its history, click here.
