Hot Chip Rocked My World

Night three of my four-concerts-in-a-row stretch was Hot Chip at Terminal 5 on Saturday night. I was afraid I would be too tired to enjoy it, or bored since this was my third time seeing them, but of course the adorably dorky boys from England woke me up right away and got me dancing. They also have a knack for remixing their songs when they play them live so it’s always a new, interesting experience. The crowd was really into it which was great, with everyone dancing and screaming their little hearts out. Frontman Alexis Taylor looked awesome in a yellow suit, which he soon stripped off to reveal a bright yellow Wendy’s tank top (whaaa?). They played songs from all three albums, but mostly from the new one, Made in the Dark. I’ve pretty much been in love with this band since I randomly picked up their Coming on Strong at a used CD store. Best purchase ever. If you haven’t seen them, they said they will be back this summer so make sure your butt is there.
