Hot Hot Heat @ Webster Hall
![]()
Victoria British Columbia’s Hot Hot Heat will be screeching through New York in less than a month. This is a band that will make you take notice, regardless of how hard you try to ignore them. This band had a very similar impact on me after seeing them live as the Libertines did. I liked their albums, but the live show made me hit their trail for weeks (and months afterward). Webster Hall is a venue that suits the style and show of Hot Hot Heat - just as it did Franz.
Hot Hot Heat will be playing Webster Hall on October 13th. Once owned by Al Capone, this past hedonistic speakeasy has hosted some very notable acts in past years including: The Stone Roses, The Police, The Hives and the Clapton.
Hot Hot Heat will be touring their latest album Happiness Ltd. which was released a week ago on September 11th. I always judge an album by the first track, so have a listen to the title track Happiness Ltd and send in your feedback.
Looking for a musical introduction? Check out ‘This Town’ from 2002’s Make up the Breakdown: I always said I’d go to a Hot Hot Heat gig just to see this song performed live.
Check them out on October 13th.
