Liars offering free demos
Radiohead has always paved their own path…and others have always followed. Bottom line is (from BAMS perspective) Radiohead is great for the music industry.
Radiohead’s ‘pay what you want’ tactic was big. Get new music into people’s ears at a price they feel is fair and if they dig it, they will support you in other ways - concerts, merch…etc.
How about free? Sure, there is endless free music on MySpace, but you can’t take it with you. New York’s The Liars are taking it a step further.
The band has decided to offer a selection of demos on their label’s website.
The demos, entitled Liars Sessions, is an EP consisting of outtakes and demo versions of tunes featured on the band’s second album.
Liars Sessions tracklisting:
1. “Cycle Time” (Demo)
2. “House Clouds” (Demo)
3. “Pure Unevil” (Demo)
4. “Plaster Casts of Everything” (Demo)
