Liars Opening for Interpol

by User ImageMike on August 24th, 2007

Thanks to Pat at Pop Tarts Suck Toasted for the comment on the Interpol gig at MSG regarding the opening acts. As he mentioned, Liars and Cat Power will be taking the stage before Interpol to set the tone for the night.

Liars are a pretty cool group of three who are from random areas, but converged in New York. They have this punk, new wave, techno-rock n’ roll feel. They will fit well on the bill as they have a swanky Velvet Underground vibe to them - check out ‘The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack’ to hear the Velvet connection.

They have just released their latest album on August 20th, so you’ve got some time to listen to some of the tracks before the gig.

Looking forward to getting some reviews from readers of the album and the standout tracks.

As for Cat Power … more on her tomorrow. Stay Tuned.
