Springsteen Rocks the Garden
Every month Rolling Stone magazine profiles a few key shows.
Sometimes I think they are truly special shows and other times I think they just say, “Yeah, Arcade Fire in Austin was probably cool, let’s profile it and get some quotes.”
I’ve become a bit jaded with RS the last few years, but still go back to it like an addict.
This months feature though profiled a show that might of been one of the city’s best.
Ask anyone who went. There was something about it.
Here’s what Springsteen had to say,
“I don’t know if it’s the myth of the Garden, but there was definitely something going on in that audience. You could feel it onstage. Those shows were as good as any New York shows we’ve ever done.”
The Boss and his band have played New York countless times, so this is a bold statement.
Speaking of Arcade Fire, they apparently joined Springsteen onstage in Ottawa Canada for a few tracks…including ‘No Cars Go’. I’m pretty sure this was RS worthy.
The Boss kicks off two nights in Washington tonight. He’ll play 4 more U.S. shows before heading out to Europe for the last leg of the tour.
