One of the best electronic groups out there, Ladytron will be doing a DJ set tonight with Le Castlevania and Grandmaster Flash at Webster Hall. If you stayed in NYC for Christmas, rejoice! Get $10 advance tickets here.

So last night was my DJ debut at the Stranded in Stereo event at Fontana’s, which was really very fun–thanks to everyone who came out! The crowd was great and the three bands that played were all excellent.

Teenage Millionaire, consisting of a 17-year-old singer and a 14-year-old drummer, were really very good and extremely talented.

The Low Anthem definitely brought the crowds and they definitely deserved it. Their beautiful harmonies and soft music was soothing and pretty.

Finally, The Library were a solid rock band that fit in well at Fontana’s.

Deadmau5, an electronica DJ from Toronto, will be playing at Irving Plaza on July 18. He’s worked with everyone from Armin van Buren to Tommy Lee and has done remixes for Daft Punk, Crystal Method, and others. Tickets are $15 and you can get them here.

Peter Moren of the trio Peter, Bjorn, & John has already done various solo projects. Tonight (Friday) he will be DJing at Le Royale. Elhaam (who has one of the the top three rated shows on East Village Radio) will also be DJing; plus E. Frank, along with resident DJ Alex English. Meanwhile, downstairs, Dimitry spins all night.
