• Dan Deacon has added another show to his night at the Bowery Ballroom on May 16. He has added a late night show that same night. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon.
• Bill Callahan (of Smog) will be at (le) Poisson Rouge on June 13 and at Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 14. Tickets on sale now for LPR and Music Hall of Williamsburg.

McCarren Pool is back for another summer as a concert venue–woohoo! Last year I saw many excellent bands there, including Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Ghostland Observatory, Spank Rock and friends, and the Thermals. This year, the first show they announced is not a free one (boo), but it is a good one–M.I.A. and Holy Fuck on June 6. Tickets go on sale Saturday at noon.
