Spank Rock Is Sick
May 1, 2008 by Devorah Klein
I am sending a heartfelt Get Well to Spank Rock, who had to have emergency surgery in Indio CA right before his set at Coachella. He missed that show and he will miss his set at Studio B this Friday night. He is recovering now in Florida.
Anyone who wants a refund can contact the club but with Brazilian Girls and others still on the bill I think it will still be a fantastic show to celebrate their new rooftop garden.

Last year I saw many excellent bands there, including Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Ghostland Observatory, Spank Rock and friends, and the Thermals. This year, the first show they announced is not a free one (boo), but it is a good one–M.I.A. and Holy Fuck on June 6. Tickets go on sale Saturday at noon.
