The Sea & Cake, masters of jazz-inflected rock is a tight, well-oiled machine and that is as apparent as ever on their seventh album, Car Alarm. Sam Prekop, Archer Prewitt, and the rest of the gang didn’t take a break after releasing their last album Everybody and then touring. As soon as the tour ended they went right back into the studio to create their next masterpiece. More poppy and rock-influenced than their last album, Car Alarm is a joyful record that will put a bounce in your step.
