There are tons of free shows coming up at the Virgin Megastore in Union Square:
April 22 at 7 pm
Tokyo Police Club. To get in, but the new album Elephant Shell at Virgin and get a wristband.
April 25 at 12:30 pm
Elbow
April 28 at 7 pm
The Slackers
April 29 at 7 pm
Santogold. To get in, buy the new self-titled album and get a wristband for “priority entrance.” Not sure what that means…
May 1 at 7 pm
Robyn. To get in, buy her new self-titled CD beginning April 29 and get a wristband.
May 13 at 8 pm
Duffy playing an acoustic set.
Not bad at all…

The wristband thing means that people theoretically get priority entrance on the day of the show… I went to the Tapes n Tapes in store on the 8th and it had the same “buy the album for priority wristband” language… but I just breezed in around 6:30 without an issue.
