WFMU Brings The Ex to NYC

Awesome radio station WFMU is putting on a free show this summer and they are bringing none other than Holland’s legendary The Ex to perform, along with their friend Gétatchèw Mèkurya, who is an Ethiopian saxophonist. Also, Either/Orchestra with Mahmoud Ahmed and Alèmayèhu Eshèté, and Extra Golden will be playing. Those bands are both collaborations between Americans and East Africans. The show is on August 20 and will be at the Lincoln Center/Damrosch Park Bandshell on W. 62nd and Amsterdam from 6-10 p.m.

Extra Golden will also be at Celebrate Brooklyn’s Africa Festival on August 3 in Prospect Park.
