Who’s next: Parts & Labor
Parts & Labor (Brooklyn) just wrapped up a 13 show European Tour. They are crossing the pond to play 20 shows across the country before coming back to play The Silent Barn on November 17th. By the time Parts & Labor roll into town there will likely be a large handful of added NY gigs on their schedule. These shows could be the tipping point for the band.

This is a very cool and unique band experimenting with some rock and vintage punk. Their unique familiarity can be found on songs like ‘The Gold We’re Digging’ that contain a raw drum pound reminiscent early U2 albums, bellowing lyrics echoing prime Stone Roses and an overall package that makes you take notice and admire. Experimental familiarity and the familiarity brings flashes of memories and images. They’ve got a new drummer, so we’ll see how things shift, focus or broaden. Very cool band.
