Yael Naim at Summerstage

Israeli songstress Yael Naim played at Summerstage in Central Park on Sunday night. It was a beautiful evening, the rain finally clearing up and the temperature finally cooling down. Naim has songs in Hebrew, French, and English, including a cover of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and the song “New Soul,” which is on the MacBook Air commercial. Naim’s voice is exquisite and the arrangements are unique and interesting, thanks in part to her musical collaborator, David Donatien. I wonder if she will get as famous as Feist…
